CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Switch off and unplug the Espresso Maker from the wall power outlet, and let it cool
down fully.
Grip the filter holder handle and turn the filter holder from right to left for removal.
To remove the used coffee grounds, grip the filter holder handle and hold the handle clip
firmly against the filter basket. Invert the filter holder and tap it firmly against the edge of
a disposal/kitchen bin.
Pull the clip back and remove the filter basket.
Lift the drip tray off the base and lift the cover off the drip tray.
Wipe the drip tray, drip tray cover and the body of the appliance with a damp cloth.
Wash the filter and filter holder in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
NOTE: Do not use solvents or strong detergents when cleaning the espresso maker
cabinet. Use a damp cloth.
CLEANING THE MILK FROTHER AND ENHANCER
After each use of the milk frother, it is
necessary to clean the froth enhancer in the
following manner:
Check that the steam tube is cool.
Remove the froth enhancer by sliding it
off the end of the steam tube and rinsing
in warm water.
Wipe over the steam tube and nozzle
with a damp cloth.
Refit the froth enhancer by sliding back
on the steam tube and pressing upwards
to lock.
At least once a month, it is necessary to
clean the steam outlet in the following
manner:
Check that the espresso maker is cool
and the plug is detached from the wall
power outlet.
Remove the froth enhancer.
Using the measuring spoon/tamper
spanner, loosen the steam nozzle, unscrew
from the end of the steam outlet tube.
Carefully remove the steam nozzle and
wash it together with the froth enhancer in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
Extra care should be taken to ensure the hollow centre of both items is clean and clear of
milk residue.
Using a damp cloth, clean the steam tube.
Refit the steam nozzle to the steam tube and gently tighten using measuring spoon/
tamper spanner.
Refit the froth enhancer.
