Set the steam knob to the
“0”/ “no steam” / “OFF”
position.
•
Fill the iron as described in “
How to Fill the Water Tank
” and fill the water tank up to
the
MAX
position. Do not put vinegar or other descaling agents in the water tank.
•
Place the iron on a stable surface in an upright standing position on its heel.
•
Connect the iron to mains supply outlet.
•
Turn the temperature dial to the
MAX
position.
•
Wait until the pilot light cycles a few times or wait for at least 3 minutes for the
temperature to stabilize before ironing.
•
After a few cycles when the required temperature is reached, the pilot light will go off.
•
Thereafter, turn the temperature dial to the
“0”/ “OFF”/ “MIN”
position.
•
Disconnect the iron from mains power supply outlet.
•
Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
•
Hold/ press the self-cleaning button in and gently shake the iron to and fro.
•
Steam and boiling hot water will emit from the holes on the soleplate which
contains impurities, scale, minerals and flakes (if any) that deposited in the steam
chamber that were deposited from previous use.
•
Release the self-cleaning button as soon as all the water in the tank has been used
up.
•
Repeat the self-cleaning process if the iron still contains a lot of impurities.
•
After the self-cleaning process, put the plug into the wall socket, set the temperature
dial to the
MAX
position and let the iron heat up to allow the soleplate to dry.
•
Turn the temperature dial to the
“0”/ “OFF”/ “MIN”
position and unplug the iron
when it has reached the set ironing temperature.
•
Move the hot iron over a piece of used cloth to remove any water stains that may
have formed on the soleplate.
•
Let the iron cool down before you follow storage instructions.
Caution:
Keep skin/body away from the hot water.
ANTI-SCALE/ CALCIUM FEATURE
An anti-scale agent has been incorporated as an advanced feature in the design of this
iron. It is an extra measure to help prevent limescale/ calcium build-up and prolong the life
of your iron.
