28 Don’t Use the shot of steam function at temperatures below COTTON on the display. 

At lower temperatures, you’ll only get water spotting.

29 Check that there’s water in the reservoir.

30 Lift the iron off the fabric
31 Press the 

H

 button.

32 You may initially have to squeeze 2 or 3 times to pump water 

through the system.

33 Leave 4 seconds between shots, to let the temperature build up.

dry ironing

34 If you intend to dry iron for more than a few minutes, it’s best to empty the reservoir 

first, to avoid spontaneous bursts of steam:

a)  Unplug the iron.
b)  Hold it over a sink or basin.
c)  Flip the water inlet cover open.

caution

 the water may be hot.

d)  Carefully, turn the iron upside down, and empty the water into the sink/basin.
e)  Wipe any spillage off the iron before use.

35 Set the temperature.
36 Wait till the display turns blue, then start ironing.

vertical steaming

37 Remove wrinkles from hanging clothes, hanging curtains, and furnishing fabrics. 
38 Check that there’s adequate ventilation behind the fabric, otherwise moisture may 

build up, causing mildew.

39 Check that there’s nothing behind the fabric that may be damaged by the steam.

40 Check that pockets, turn-ups, and cuffs are empty.
41 Check that there’s water in the reservoir.
42 Set the temperature to LINEN.
43 Wait till the display turns blue.
44 Hold the iron close to (but not touching) the fabric.
45 Press the 

H

 button (you’re using the “shot of steam” function 

vertically).

46 You may have to squeeze 2 or 3 times to pump water through the system.
47 Leave 4 seconds between shots, to let the temperature build up.

after use

48 Unplug the iron.
49 Hold it over a sink or basin.

50 Flip the water inlet cover open.

caution

 the water may be hot.

51 Carefully, turn the iron upside down, and empty the water into the 

sink/basin.

52 Sit the iron on its heel, and leave it to cool down completely.
53 When it’s cold, wipe off any moisture, and wind the cable round the heel.
54 Store the iron on its heel, to avoid corrosion and damage to the soleplate.
