45 Carefully, turn the iron upside down, and empty it into the sink/basin.
46 Wipe any spillage off the iron before use.

47 Remove wrinkles from hanging clothes, hanging curtains, and furnishing fabrics.
48 Check that there’s adequate ventilation behind the fabric, otherwise moisture may
build up, causing mildew.
49 Check that there’s nothing behind the fabric that may be
damaged by the steam.
50 Check that pockets, turn-ups, and cuffs are empty.
51 Check that there’s water in the reservoir.

, to increase the temperature to LINEN (MAX).
53 Hold the iron close to (but not touching) the fabric.
54 Press the

button (you’re using the “shot of steam” function vertically).
55 You may initially have to press it 2 or 3 times to pump water through the system.
56 Leave 5 seconds between shots, to let the temperature build up.

, to turn the iron (and the display) off.
58 Unplug the iron.
59 Hold it over a sink or basin.
60 Flip the water inlet cover open.

63 Leave it to cool down completely.
64 When it’s cold, wipe off any moisture, and wind the cable round the
heel.

self clean
66 To prevent scale building up, use the self clean function regularly, at least monthly in
normal water areas, more often in hard water areas.
67 The self clean symbol will show on the display after
about 5 hours steaming, to let you know that you should self
clean now.
68 You’ll need a basin or a large bowl to catch the water coming
out of the soleplate.
69 Fill the reservoir half full (not to
max
).
70 Plug the iron in and switch the display on.
71 Use the
left button
, to increase the temperature to LINEN (MAX).
72 Sit the iron on its heel, and wait till LINEN stops flashing.
73 Press and hold the
left button
, to turn the iron (and the display) off.
74 Unplug the iron.
75 Now hold the iron over the basin or bowl, with the soleplate down.
