8. MAINTENANCE
Proper maintenance is the responsibility of the owner. See the maintenance plan for
specific maintenance. Please note that this list is made under the general conditions in
which the petrol engine is used. If used continuously under high load or below high
temperature with inadequate humidity or in dust, maintenance should be performed
more frequently.
Replacement of spare parts
Only the use of original spare parts or their equivalent is recommended. Replacement
with other low-quality spare parts can adversely affect the performance of the emission
control system.
Unauthorized changes
Unauthorized changes or changes to the emission control system may cause emissions
higher than legal specifications. Unauthorized changes or changes include:
1) Removing or changing any spare part in the intake or exhaust system.
2) Modification or removal of connections for the speed control system that determines
the operation of the petrol engine beyond the parameter settings.
The emission may be adversely affected if:
1) Black smoke is discharged or fuel consumption is high;
2) Failures occur in the carburetor or exhaust drum during engine operation;
3) The ignition takes place sooner or later than normal.
Periodic inspection and adjustment can maintain a good performance of the petrol
engine by extending its life. The intervals and maintenance elements are
presented in the following table:
