7. Eliminate all spark or flame sources (ignited flames or things that

could cause sparks) in the place where fuel is mixed, poured, or stored.

Do not smoke while using fuel or using the chainsaw.

8. Do not allow other people to be in front of the chainsaw when starting

the engine or cutting wood. Keep these people or animals away from

the work area. Children, animals or other persons must be at least 10

m away when starting or operating the chainsaw.

9. Never start cutting until you have a free work area, protective

footwear and a planned escape route when the tree falls.

10. Always hold the chainsaw securely with both hands when the

engine is running.

11. Keep your body away from the chainsaw when the engine is

running and make sure it is not in contact with any objects.

12. Always carry the chainsaw with the engine switched off, the

chainsaw guide bar and chain at the rear and the muffler away from

the body.
