Choose
Start > Programs > Accessories > Communications > Hyperterminal
. The hyperterminal window
appears.

Click
Cancel
. A window appears as shown in Figure 4-1.

In the Connectivity Note window, type the name of the new connection and click
OK
. A window appears as shown
in Figure 4-2. In the Connect Using field, select the serial port you want to use.

After selecting the serial port, click
OK
. The Serial Port Parameter Setting window is displayed, as shown in Figure
4-3. Set the baud rate to 9600, data bit to 8, parity check to none, stop bit to 1, and no flow control.
