4.0.3.4 Port Mirroring
Port monitoring is a feature to redirect the traffic occurred on every port to a designated monitoring port on the IP DSLAM . With this
feature, the network administrator can monitor and analyze the traffic on the entire LAN segment. In VS-2400S, you can specify one
port to be the monitoring port and any single port to be the monitored port. You also can specify the direction of the traffic that
you want to monitor. After properly configured, packets with the specified direction from the monitored ports are forwarded to the
monitoring port.
Note:
1.
The default Port Monitoring setting is disabled.
2.
The analysis port is dedicated as mirroring port with duplicated traffic flow from mirrored port. The ordinary network traffic is
not available for the analysis port.
3.
Any member port is not available for this function

Parameters
:
rx
specifies monitoring rx only.
tx
specifies monitoring tx only.
both
specifies monitoring both rx and tx.

> specifies the analysis port ID. This port receives traffic from all monitored ports.

port-list
> specifies the monitored port list.
