If the Reel Hub is not visible on the devices list, check that the Bluetooth device in
the Android setting page is set to On. To verify, launch the Android Settings app.
Navigate to Connections -> Bluetooth and check that the Bluetooth setting is set to
On. Perform a Bluetooth device scan and verify that the Reel Hub is available in the
scan. If the Reel Hub is not visible in the scan, set the Bluetooth setting to Off. Wait
2 seconds. Set the Bluetooth setting to On, then press the reset button on the Reel
Hub. Perform a Bluetooth device scan and verify that the Reel Hub is available in
the re-scan.

If another Bluetooth device is available such as a phone, laptop or tablet, use the
second Bluetooth device to verify the Reel Hub is operational. From the second
device, use the Bluetooth service to scan for available Bluetooth devices. If the Reel
Hub is powered up and working normally, the Reel Hub device id should appear on
the second Bluetooth device scan.

If the Reel Hub is known to be working and broadcasting its device ID, but the Reel
is not visible, power the Android device off and on.
Cannot connect to the probe
•
Check the threaded electrical connection between the probe and the reel.
•
Ensure that the connector is clean.
•
Check the connector for damage.
Android Device does not have internet over Wi-Fi
•
Wi-Fi coverage may be affected by distance from the access point and physical
obstructions. Consider moving to a different location to see if Wi-Fi coverage
improves.
•
Check that the Wi-Fi settings in the Android setting page is set to On. To verify,
launch the Android Settings app and navigate to Connections
→
Wi-Fi. Check that
the Wi-Fi setting is set to On, the current network is visible and re-enter the network
password. If the Wi-Fi connection is still not functional, set the Wi-Fi setting to Off.
Wait 2 seconds. Set the Wi-Fi setting to On.

If another Wi-Fi device is available such as a phone, laptop or tablet, use the second
Wi-Fi device to verify the Wi-Fi hotspot is operational. From the second device, use
the same Wi-Fi credentials to connect to the hot spot.
•
If the Wi-Fi hotspot is known to be operational, power the Android device off and on.
Android device does not have internet over cellular
•
Cellular coverage may be intermittent due to distance to the cell tower and physical
obstructions. Consider moving to a different location to see if cellular coverage
improves.
•
Check that the sim card is securely installed in the sim card slot.
•
Check that the Network Access Point Name (APN) is correctly configured for the
data carrier. To verify, launch the Android Settings app. Navigate to the Network &
Internet
→
APNs. Verify that the selected APN matches with the APN for the sim
card.
