Setting up

Set up the unit as 2.  Projection arm (1) has to snap into locking lever
(2).  Remove protective cover from the fresnel mirror (3), see figure 2.
Check voltage (V) immediately.

The local mains voltage should

agree with that on the data plate (4).  Take the mains cable from its bag
and connect between the mains socket and unit's appliance inlet.

Caution: Do not touch the mirror (5). (mirrored surface).

Hold the mirror (5) on its front edge (6) and lift upwards.  When the unit
is switched on, the mirror (5) must always be in its raised position.
Switch on fan and lamp by pressing the switch (7).

Note: The lower air intake (8) and the upper air outlets at the power

supply (8) and the lens head (9) should never be covered.

Attention: The area around the condenser lens (10) can become very

hot during use.  Never touch the parts when they are hot;
always let them cool off first.

Quick lamp changer

If a lamp burns out during protection, lever (11) can be used to switch
on the reserve lamp.

Note: Two lamps should always be ready for use in the unit.  Always

replace a defective lamp as soon as possible.

Height adjustment

Varying the angle of the mirror (5) enables adjustment to the height of
the projected image.  The mirror should only be touched on its front
edge (6).

Picture size and focusing

The picture size depends on the distance of the device from the
projection screen.  See graph at the front of this leaflet.

L = projection distance;

b = width of projected image.

Focus the picture by using lever (12)

Packing

Use switch (7) to turn the projector off.  The equipment should be
allowed to cool before packing, otherwise heat could cause damage to
the fresnel mirror.  Disconnect the power cable from the power supply
socket and the unit's appliance inlet and store in the bag provided.
Hold the mirror (5) by its front edge (6) and fold it down completely.
Then place protective cover on fresnel mirror (3).  Rotate lens head (9)
backwards.  Hold arm (1) and activate locking lever (2) to release it.
Then pull arm (1) with lens head (9) in the direction of the protective
cover on the fresnel mirror until it lies on top of it.  Put projector into
case, see figure 3.  The bag with the power cable can be stored in the
case quite easily.

Cleaning the mirror

The fresnel mirror is a precision optical component and should only be
cleaned with suitable cleansing agents and a soft cloth.  Do not use
solvents
.

Lamp changing

Halogen lamp 24 V/250W, A1/223, EHJ (RS stock no. 250-075).
Before changing lamps and opening the unit, always pull out the
mains plug.  Allow unit to cool
.  Only when the unit is cool should the
lamp or adjacent parts be touched.  Press the retaining spring (13)
which is located on the lower side of the lens head (9) next to the
condenser lens (10) and swing out the condenser lens (10).  Remove

the lamp, fit new lamp and press it down to the stop.  Then swing back
the condenser lens (10), press it back into place until the retaining
spring (13) catches.
Do not touch the lamp with bare hands.  Read the lamp
instructions
.

Faults

Before opening the unit, always pull out the mains plug.  A built-in
thermo cut-out switch protects the lens head (fan, lamp) from
overheating.  The thermo cut-out switch switches the lamp off
automatically at a certain temperature, and after cooling switches it
back on.  If lamp and fan are defective at the same time, it is possible
that the fuse has to be changed.  Replace with one of the same rating.
See details on the plate near the fuseholder.

The fuseholder (14) is fitted on the unit's rear side.  Using a screwdriver
or coin, the catch can be released and the fuse carrier pulled out.
Check for continuity and, if required, fit a new fuse in the fuse carrier
and screw back into place.  If the unit is still out of order with a new fuse
fitted, it should be sent to a trained specialist for repair.

Allow only a trained specialist to open the projector, since high
voltage live parts become freely accessible, when the cover is
removed

Aufstellen

Das Gerät wie in den Abbildung 2 gezeigt aufstellen. Arm (1) muß in
Taste (2) einrasten. Schutzmatte vom Fresnelspiegel (3) entfernen,
Abb 2.

Projektionsbildes einstellen. Den Umlenkspiegel stets nur an der
vorderen Kante (6) anfassen.
