Using Rechargeable Batteries
Your Royal PDA unit without built-in modem can only use the Royal rechargeable battery pack that
is sold separately. This battery pack is a sealed, self-contained cartridge. This cartridge replaces
the AAA alkaline cartridge which is factory-installed in your PDA. To use the Royal rechargeable
battery pack, remove the AAA alkaline cartridge and replace it with the Royal rechargeable
cartridge.
Before using the rechargeable battery pack for the first time, you must fully charge the batteries.
Please see the instructions that come with the Royal rechargeable battery pack for charging
requirements.
Before using the rechargeable battery cartridge for the first time, you must charge it for 5 hours..
Note: The unit will not charge any other battery.

procedure be followed when replacing the AAA batteries.

2. Plug in the AC adapter to maintain data during battery replacement.
3. Remove the battery cover, located on the back of the unit, by pressing the hinge down and
pulling the battery cover open.

Insert the two new AAA batteries, following the signs inside the battery cartridge compartment.

Note: Always turn the PDA off before unplugging or plugging in the AC/DC adapter.
DO NOT APPLY UNNECCESARY FORCE WHEN REMOVING OR REPLACING THE BATTERY
COVER. THE COVER SHOULD EASILY FIT INTO ITS PLACE IN THE BACK OF THE UNIT.

the power level gets too low. Replace
the AAA batteries or recharge

The data that has been synchronized to the computer can be restored to the PDA by synchronizing
