APPENDIX B - INSTANT CABLE REPLACEMENT
You can use the Roving Networks adapters (with or without the FirePlug USB dongle, RN-USB-X) for cable replacement
with the following steps:
1.
Turn off the adapters and set the switches as shown in Figure 10.

Power up both devices. The master discovers the slave device, stores its Bluetooth address, and connects. The
devices are now paired and each device’s green LED should be on solid.
3.
Set switch 2 on both devices to off so that they do not try to re-pair each time power is cycled. See Figure 11.

Once paired, when the devices are in range of each other, they connect and the master will not attempt to connect to any
other Bluetooth device. To break the pairing, restore the factory defaults using switch 1.
