It should not protrude so far that it can
be inadvertently opened.
•
When the lever is closed, it should no
longer be possible to turn it. If this is
possible, this means that the quick re-
lease is not correctly locked and that it
may work loose. In this case, open the
quick release and repeat the procedure
described.
•
When you have finished, simply lift your
wheels from the ground. A securely at-
tached wheel can no longer be pushed
or pulled out of the axle mountings.
DETAILED OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
SEAT POSITION
In addition to the option of adjusting the
handlebar/stem assembly to suit your
riding requirements, the correct adjust-
ment of the saddle position and angle
also has a considerable influence on
your comfort while cycling. The saddle
position can be adjusted with the sliding
seat post. This adjustment not only
changes the distance of the saddle to the
handlebars, but also the position of your
hips above the pedals – depending on
how far forward or to the rear you adjust
your saddle, your position relative to the
pedals changes so that you pedal from a
greater or lesser distance from behind the
pedals. To ensure the least strenuous pe-
dalling position, the saddle angle should
be as horizontal as possible. Only in this
position, are both a comfortable sitting
position and a low bracing effort against
the handlebars ensured.
Saddle height
In order to avoid fatigue and ensure a
safe ride, the saddle height should be ad-
justed to match your physical proportions.
The following should be considered: In
order to transfer your energy to the pedals
in the most efficient way, it is necessa-
ry to adjust your position for so-called
„round“ pedalling. This means that it
is important that the ball of your foot is
positioned over the centre of the pedal
axis and your hips remain straight.
Make this adjustment while wea-
ring the footwear you usually wear when
cycling.
Adjusting the saddle height
An incorrectly fixed saddle can work loose
and cause you to lose control over your
bike, leading to dangerous situations in
which you and/or other persons could
suffer injury. So please make sure that
the seat post is inserted into the seat
tube at least to the mark „ Min. insert“
and always ensure that the quick-releases
are securely closed.
The tension can be regulated by
adjusting the knurled screw.
•
Open the quick-release lever and adjust
the saddle height to approximately
match your size. At the same time, ad-
just the front end of the saddle to point
in the direction of travel. Close the
quick-release lever. Please note: There
must be a noticeable resistance when
closing the quick-release lever.
•
Make sure that the seat post does is
not pulled out of the seat tube beyond
the maximum extension point. The
