For Bromine users add 3 grams of non-chlorine shock to a plastic container with a sample of your spa water, mix well and add to
your RotoSpa, allow jets to run for a few minutes so solution can distribute evenly. It is advised that you run your Bromine level
at 8ppm to completely eliminate and contaminants within your water (allow to drop to 4-6ppm before using your RotoSpa).
We also advise this is done once a week to keep the water well sanitized.
Always follow each brands individual instructions.
Step 6; once the spa has reached its set temperature you will now need to ensure there is a sufficient level of free Chlorine or
Bromine.
Test Strip Users- Dip one into the water and compare to the back of the bottle.
Scuba Digital Tester- Take a new sample of water and replace the lid, press the ZERO/TEST Key until ‘0.0.0’ shows on the display.
Using the same method as with the Ph test, use the DPD 1 tablets, crush 1 and allow to fully dissolve in the water, replace the
cap tightly and press the MODE key until Chl appears along the bottom of the display. Swirl the instrument for 15 seconds and
allow to stand for 15 seconds. Press the TEST key and await your reading. For Bromine users multiply the chl result by 2.2 and
this will give you the reading for ‘free Bromine’
if the reading is lower than the advised add 2 gram of Chlorine and allow jets to run, continue until 2-3ppm has been achieved.
For Bromine add 3 grams and let the jets run for a few minutes, check and repeat until 4-6ppm has been achieved.
See table below which indicates the required level of each sanitiser, if you have chosen to use tablets it is advised to reach the
required level using granules and then maintain with tablets. As with the shock it is advised you dissolve the granules in a plastic
container first. Always use a sample of your spa water.
Always follow each brands individual instructions.

To keep your RotoSpa thermal cover in the best condition, leave off your QuattroSpa for 2 hours
after adding chemicals to your water.
Each day and before using your RotoSpa, you will need to check the water balance is at the
correct levels, so please revert back to steps 4 and 6 to get the water back to the safe levels.
If you find your ph levels keep ‘bouncing’ contact your supplier as you will need to carry out an
Alkalinity test.
If you are unable/find it difficult to use the test strips and feel the readings aren’t accurate please
contact RotoSpa about purchasing a Scuba Digital Tester. The results are more accurate due to
people’s variation in ‘seeing’ colour.
