2.1 | Reading and keeping the instructions for use
These instructions for use apply exclusively to the Rothewald Driver for the lower
steering head bearing on the motorcycle. They contain important information on
handling, safety and warranty. Read the instructions carefully, in particular the safety
instructions, before using the driver. Failure to adhere to instructions can cause
damage to the vehicle and result in consequential damages or even an accident. Keep
these instructions for future reference. If you pass the Rothewald Driver on to third
parties, you must also hand over these instructions.
The instructions for use are based on the standards and regulations valid in the
European Union. If abroad, observe country-specific guidelines and laws.

3 | Safety
3.1 | Intended use
The Rothewald Driver for the lower steering head bearing is used to ensure that the
steering head bearing ring is securely driven onto the steering column of the lower triple
tree. It is suitable for steering head tubes with a diameter of 31.4 mm and less at their
thickest point (bottom) and for steering head bearings with an inner bearing ring of 32
- 45 mm diameter.
Since this is a universal product and not intended just for one particular vehicle, it is
important to make sure that it can be used safely and correctly on your vehicle before
you use the product for the first time.
Always follow the instructions in your vehicle owner‘s manual and the directions of
the vehicle manufacturer. This is essential, as improper use of this product or its
unsuitability for a vehicle could impair the safety of the vehicle and/or damage it.
Only use the Rothewald Steering Head Bearing Driver as described in these
instructions. Any other use is considered improper use and may result in material
damage. The manufacturer or supplier accepts no liability for damage caused by
improper or incorrect use.
