configure an option in the
Personality
tab of each MC1-MK card to automatically reset the audio gain to 0dB
after any Background transition.
This area is used to select the video sources for each bus. The Preset bus is the bottom row of source buttons and
selects the video source that will be taken on-air with the next background transition. The Program bus is the top
row of source buttons and selects the video source that is currently on-air on the background. The mnemonic
display shows the name of the source assigned to the source button directly above it.
The last button of the row is a
Shift
button, which provides access to 15 additional selectable crosspoints. Notice
that when you press and hold the
Shift
button that the mnemonics also update to display the shifted bus labels.
5. Keyer Area
This area represents the four keyers of the channel that the MC1-PANEL-16 is controlling. Refer to the section
“
” on page 11 for details.
This area provides the options for selecting transition rates (slow, medium, fast), and type (take, fade-fade,
take-fade, mix, fade-take, and SqueezeBack). The Fade to Black (
FTB
) button is also located in this area.
Physical Connections
The communication ports on the MC1-PANEL-16 are used for communication. There are LAN ports for connecting
to an external computer for upgrades and communicating with the openGear frame(s) that house your MC1-MK
card(s). DIP switches are provided to configure the network connection of your panel.

a. Two power supply connections (PS1, PS2) are provided to connect external brick power supplies to the
MC1-PANEL-16. Refer to the section “
” on page 21 for details.
Use this 4-DIP Switch block when configuring the MC1-PANEL-16 ethernet settings. Refer to the section
“
” on page 20 for details.
This slot is used in the case of a software upgrade failure and under the guidance of Ross Technical Support. This
slot is not populated with a micro SD card when shipped from the factory.
