OPERATION
3.1
Preparations for Commissioning
- Perform a visual check of the entire unit.
- Check the functioning and condition of all valves, instruments
and displays.
- Fill the fuel and extinguishing agent tanks.
IMPORTANT!
It is essential that you also heed the operating instructions
of the chassis / pump motor manufacturer.
It is essential that you also heed the operating instructions
of the pump manufacturer.
Use only a damp cloth to clean the fittings in the pump
compartment. Spraying water can damage electrical
components. Do not use solvents.
Do not operate the pump with the pressure outlet closed -
rapid rise in temperature!
Water and foam compounds are electrically conducting!
Maintain a sufficient distance from parts under power!
Certain materials expand or increase in weight when they
absorb water!
Certain materials must not come into contact with water due
to the danger of chemical reactions.
NOT HEEDING THIS INSTRUCTION CAN LEAD TO
SERIOUS INJURIES!
If water delivery is stopped suddenly, a pressure surge - a
so-called „water hammer“ - develops; this sounds as if
someone bangs a pipe with a hammer.
