If panels are to be installed in horizontal orientation, please skip this section.
3” deep, 16ga galvanized Hat Sections,
Part# H13, mount horizontally across the
frames and become the attachment
supports for vertically mounted panels.
To install the Hat Sections, hold the
vertical frame tubes plumb and fasten
the Hats with (4) Tek3 Screws. As shown
in Figure 12, Hat Sections should be
mounted to the vertical tube, positioned
over the C12 Connectors at the
connections of the horizontal and
diagonal tubes. If for any reason the
Hats cannot be positioned over the C12
Connectors, the strength of the frame
may be reduced, which could also
reduce its spacing capacity. If this
occurs, additional engineering review is
recommended.
