11. Appendix - Emergency recovery
Put specific name of files on a USB memory. Turn on the DVR. While booting, DVR copies the file
and replace the corrupted file by new one. Use this procesure when DVR does not work because
of power outage during the program upgrade.
11-1. SUMMARY
USB memory stick plugged in to the DVR power on, If there is an emergency recovery files on the
USB memory, DVR proceeds with the emergency recovery process.
11-3. EXECUTION
• Download three files(bootloader, kernel, application) from the homepage. The name of downloaded
files should be changed as shown below.
• Bootloader : me31XXboot_restore.bin (XX : 04(4ch), 08(8ch), 16(16ch))
• Kernel : me31XXkernel_restore.bin (XX : 04(4ch), 08(8ch), 16(16ch))
• Application : me31XXapp_restore.bin (XX : 04(4ch), 08(8ch), 16(16ch))
• Copy the files to a USB memory. Copy the bootloader file to recover bootloader, copy the kernel file
to recover kernel or copy the applicaton file to recover application program. If you want to recover all
of them, then copy 3 files to the USB memory.
• TVsystem NTSC/PAL : Push “up” button and supply power untill there is buzzer sound.
11-2. PREPARATION
The bootloader, kernel or application program is recovered while displaying a progress bar. If you
recover all of them, the progress bar is displayed three times. The progress bar is displayed to inform
the state of recovery bootloader, kernel and application program in series.
• After the recovering is successfully finished, booting logo is displayed and automatically boots.
• After the completion of the booting process, you can confirm the version of the file in the infomation
window whether to be upgraded properly or not.
