3.  USING NEXUS 

Nexus was designed according to generally accepted principles of a nurse call system.  Patient calls should 
be reset at location by the nurse or caregiver as soon as can reasonably be achieved.  Nexus prioritizes 
alarms in several levels of importance, and there is a built-in record of events to aid management if there 
is an adverse event or response times are tracked over time.   
 
The user interface was designed to be streamlined for ease of use.  If a touch screen monitor is used the 
app is navigated similar to how you use a smartphone, using taps and swipes for general operation.  A 
virtual keyboard will pop up when entering text or an access PIN is required.  A Bluetooth keyboard and 
mouse will allow you to operate Nexus more like a traditional desktop computer.
