Switch off the machine and disconnect the mains cable when it is not used or when cleaning the machine.
>
Only use an extension lead if the mains voltage (see type plate) and the capacity are the same or higher than
the machine’s. Always use an approved, earthed extension lead.
>
If you decide to no longer use a machine due to a defect, we advise you cut the mains cable (after disconnecting
the mains cable). Take the machine to your municipality’s waste treatment department in question.
>
If the machine is not working after switching it on, the fuse or the earth leakage switch in the distribution box
may have blown. Or the group may be overloaded or an earthing error occurred.
>
Never repair a defect yourself; if the fuse in the machine blows it may point to a defect which cannot be remedied
by removing or replacing the fuse. Only original parts may be used.
>
Never immerse the machine, the mains cable or the plug in water.
>
This machine is only suitable for domestic use. When the machine is used improperly, no damages may be
claimed and the warranty expires in case of possible defects.

Before using the espresso machine for the first time, proceed as follows: carefully unwrap the espresso machine
and remove all packaging material. Keep the packaging (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children.
After unwrapping the machine carefully, check for any damage that may have occurred during transport. Put the
espresso machine on a stable and level surface. Clean the outside of the espresso machine with a damp cloth, and
dry with a dry cloth. The loose parts such as the water tank [3], the receptacle for used espresso pods [1], the drip
tray [2] and the grille can be cleaned with hot water and a mild detergent. Dry the parts well before putting them
back in the espresso machine. Connect the mains cable.
