Check the LCD.

A pattern in eight-level grayscale will appear in the LCD.
Turn the contrast adjustment knob all of the way to left and right, and verify
that the contrast changes.
Then adjust the knob for optimal contrast.

Verify that pixel defect or irregular of color.
