KR-3 – Setting up the music stand

3.1 Connections

Connect the pedal cable

Insert the pedal cable into the 
Pedal connector on the rear panel 
of the KR-3.

Connect the power cord

Insert the included power cable into the AC inlet on 
the KR-3, and then plug it into an electrical outlet.

Be sure to use the supplied power cord.

3.2 Setting up the music stand

Set up the music stand as shown in the figure below.

Fold the three supporting feet at the back of the stand 
and check whether the stand is held in place.

Before moving the KR-3, be sure to lower the music 
stand as a safety precaution.

3.3 Opening/closing the lid

1. 

To open the lid, use both hands to lift it lightly, and 

slide it away from yourself.

2. 

To close the lid, pull it gently toward yourself, and 

lower it softly after it has been fully extended.

• When opening and closing the lid, be careful not to let 

your fingers get caught. If small children will be using 
the KR-3, adult supervision should be provided.

• If you need to move the piano, make sure the lid is 

closed first to prevent accidents.

3.4 Connecting headphones

The KR-3 has two jacks for plugging in headphones. 
This allows two people to listen through headphones 
simultaneously, making it very useful for lessons and 
when performing piano pieces for four hands. Addi-
tionally, this allows you to play without having to 
worry about bothering others around you, even at 
night.

Plug the headphones into the Phones jack located at 
the bottom left of the piano.

Connecting headphones will automatically mute the 
sound from the internal speakers.

The headphone volume is adjusted by the [Volume] 
knob of the KR-3.

Be sure to use stereo headphones (such as the Roland 
RH-25 or RH-50).
