BEFORE FIRST USE

Before use, make sure the appliance has not been damaged during transport.

Install the appliance on a horizontal surface out of reach of children as certain parts of the
grill become extremely hot during use.

Before plugging into the mains, make sure that:
• the mains voltage corresponds to the value V indicated on the rating plate on the bottom
of the appliance;
• the mains socket has a minimum rating of 10A;
• the plug is suitable for the socket. If this is not the case, have the plug replaced.
• the plug is efficiently earthed. The manufacturer declines all liability for damage deriving
from failure to observe this safety rule.

Fully unwind the cord from the hooks on the bottom of the appliance

Clean the appliance and the plates thoroughly (see chapter 'Cleaning')

The first time that the appliance will be set in operation, it is possible to observe smoke due
to certain oil residuals (an absolutely normal procedure to preserve the appliance in a good
condition) and dust. To eliminate this smoke when using the appliance for the first time,
operate it open in the barbecue position (see position 3 later) without food for at least five
minutes. During this operation, ventilate the room.
HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE
The appliance is provided with aluminum plates, with non ‐ stick treatment, easily removable for
cleaning, control light indicator, thermostat for continuous temperature adjustment & 3 grilling
positions.

Do not operate without grill plates

Do not scratch the coated plates with sharp ‐ edged objects!
To preset the appliance in the required position, operate as follows:
Pos. 1 : Contact grilling: the corrugated side of the upper grill plate is placed directly on the
food. The food is cooked evenly from above and below. Especially suitable for quick grilling at
high temperatures, e.g. rump steaks, chops or paninis.
