Unlike all other modules for R&S

OSP switch units, the R&S

OSP-B157W8

and R&S

OSP-B157W8PLUS are not equipped with on-board memory to

store the switching configuration of the module's signal paths. Therefore,
the hosting switch unit cannot recognize the module. Instead, the module's
LAN interface must be connected to the control computer and the switching
configuration must be saved as a "Hardware Setup" in the R&S

WMS32

software. In this software, the switching configuration of the R&S

OSP-

B157W8 and R&S

OSP-B157W8PLUS is already implemented.
