Before connecting this unit to a power supply for the first time you must first fill the fluid
tank with fog fluid and check that the nozzle is clean and unobstructed.
Place the machine on a level surface and loosen the cap of the fluid tank to fill with qual-
ity water based fog fluid. Although other fog fluid brands may be used, we recommend
use of Rockville fog fluid as it is the best quality and the best price. Plug the remote con-
trol into the socket at the rear of the unit. Switch the fog machine on and allow to preheat
for 4 minutes. Once the machine has reached operating temperature the green light on
the remote control will illuminate. Push the button on the remote control when lit and hold
to produce a 30 to 40 second burst of fog. Always be sure that the fog is not pointed
directly at anyone’s face. LEDs on the R720L operate automatically when the machine
begins to produce fog.
Always monitor fog fluid level as running the machine with no fluid could cause perma-
nent damage. Please do not touch or place anything in close proximity to the nozzle
during operation or preheating as you could suffer serious burns.
It is normal for your fog machine to have a reheating period after long bursts. The unit
will shut itself down for a short period in order to reach operating temperature (572° F).
Please note that during this time no fog can be produced. The green light on the remote
will illuminate when the unit is ready.
Due to the high operating temperature of fog machines it is advised that the effect be
used in well ventilated areas taking care not to obstruct the air vents. After use, allow
time the unit time to cool down before moving or touching. Not doing so could result in
serious burns.
This fog machine has been designed to function on a power supply of 110V-60HZ and
has been fitted with a suitable power plug. Please be sure to use the same type fuse as
the one provided.
The fog machine must be used in a horizontal position on a level surface or it may be
mounted using the bracket provided. Whatever method of installation you choose, the
fog machine must not have more than a 15 degree angle of inclination. We always sug-
gest that for safety purpose use of a suitable hanging clamp and safety cable is essential.
Do not allow fog fluid to become contaminated. Always replace cap after use.
There are no user serviceable parts in this unit. Any work on internal parts should be
carried out by a qualified technician. Removal of any covers is considered a breach of
warranty.
If you experience low output, pump noise or no output at all, unplug immediately. Check
fluid level, check the hose attached to the tank and make sure there are no obstruc-
tions and fluid is flowing through the hose, check the external fuse, remote connection,
and main power supply. Ensure that tank is filled and all other components are working
properly. If all appear to be OK, plug the unit in again. If the unit still does not operate
properly and you are unable to determine the cause of the problem, contact Rockville for
servicing.
ATTENTION: If the unit is unable to produce fog, do not continue to push the remote
control button as this may cause permanent damage.
Cleaning your fog machine regularly will help reduce costly parts replacement and repair
charges. We recommend you clean your fog machine after every 40 hours of continues
operation or when the machine will be idle for a long time. Run a cleaning solution com-
posed of 80% distilled water and 20% white vinegar through the system to prevent the
accumulation of particles in the heating element.
1. While unit is unplugged and cool, unscrew nozzle at very front of unit (fig.1) and clean
out debris with white vinegar and a pipe cleaner, making sure that the hole is unobstructed.
2. Empty all fog fluid from the machine and replace with cleaning solution. Plug the unit in
and allow to heat up as usual.
