Assembly and Setup

1.  Assemble the jig as shown in Figs. 1 - 5.

2.  With the desired bit (1/2" or 3/4" in diameter) installed in

your router, position the assembled Platform (1) on your

router table so that the Miter Slot Bars (6) fit in your table’s

miter slots and the bit extends up through the oblong hole.

Fig. 6.

3.  Install the appropriate indexing key (i.e., the 1/2" key (2) for

1/2" box joints and the 3/4" key (3) for 3/4" box joints). Be

sure to install the key with the flat, non-stepped edge toward

  the router bit.

>  To avoid risk of serious injury, unplug the router before

installing, removing or adjusting the router bit.

>  To avoid risk of serious injury, never set the bit

cutting height more than 1" above the surface of

  the jig Platform (1).

Make sure the Small Washers (14)

are installed correctly so that the threaded ends of the

1/4"-20 Three-Star Knobs (13) and 1/4"-20 x 1/2" Hex

Socket Head Cap Screws (18) don’t extend past the bottom

of the Sled Runners (16) and grind into the Platform (1).

Also, double-check that the Sacrificial Fences (9 and 10)

are not rubbing too much on the jig, preventing a smooth

glide. Some slight sanding may be necessary.
