Rockler jigs are predrilled with the standard three-hole
pattern (identified in black on the diagram and highlighted
on the acrylic template). Align the standard three-hole pattern
on the Drilling Template with the three-hole pattern on the
jig. Make sure that the holes for your particular router will be
oriented to provide comfortable access to the router’s handles.

Use the three included bolts and nuts to attach the
Drilling Guide to the jig.

Drill the holes for your router’s pattern with a #10 Self-Centering
Drill Bit (69007, sold separately). The holes in the Drilling
Template are sized specifically for this bit.

Remove the Drilling Template from the jig. If necessary
to fit the router’s baseplate mounting screws, use a larger
bit to widen the holes you drilled in Step 4. Also, if the
router’s mounting screws are flat-head, you will need
to countersink the holes; if the screws are pan-head,
you will need to counterbore.
6.
Remove the baseplate that came with your router and mount
the router to the jig, making sure that the collet is centered
in the jig opening. Note that some routers (DeWalt’s DW621,
for example) might require the use of different screws for
mounting to the jig.
