6. Loosen the 5/16"-18 Easy-to-Grip Knobs (6) holding the
Fences tightly together and adjust the Large Sacrificial Miter
Gauge Fence (2) until the outside cutting edge of the dado
stack lines up with the outside mark on your Fence. Fully

8. Turn off the saw and allow the blades to stop spinning. Pull
the miter gauge back from the blade, loosen the 5/16"-18
Easy-to-Grip Knobs (6) again and adjust the Fence so that
the remaining mark aligns with the inside cutting edge of
your dado stack. Fully tighten the Knobs, turn on the saw
and repeat the cut as necessary to complete the 1"
wide notch.
1. Detach the jig from your miter gauge.
> Always turn off your saw after every cut and allow
the blades to stop spinning before pulling the miter
gauge and jig back to the starting point.
THESE WARNINGS PERTAIN
TO ALL REMAINING STEPS:
> To avoid serious injury, keep
hands and fingers away from
spinning blade.
Additional countersunk holes are in
the Key Assembly (3) for mounting to homemade large
sacrificial fences. You can use a 5/8" Dia. x 3/16" H x 1/2"
Shank T-Slot Cutter Router Bit (26099, sold separately) to
cut the t-slots. See Making a Replacement Fence (p. 8).
9. Mount the Key Assembly (3) to the Large Sacrificial Miter
Gauge Fence (2): Remove the adjustment knob from the
Key Assembly (3). Position the Key Assembly (3) so that the
Adjustable Keys are in the notch and the right (non-moving)
Key is tight against the outside edge of the notch.

Slide the Lockdown Bracket (4) into the T-slot in the
Fence (2) and thread the two 1/2" Long 1/4"-20 Screws (7)
through the mounting holes in The Key Assembly and into
the tapped holes in the Lockdown Bracket. Check to be sure
the Key Assembly (3) hasn’t shifted and then fully tighten
the 1/4"-20 Screws (7). Reinstall the adjustment knob on
the Key Assembly (3).
