Initial Jig Setup
1. Follow the directions that came with your dado blade set
and table saw to install a 3/4" wide dado stack. (If your saw
arbor isn’t long enough to accommodate a 3/4" thick dado
stack, make the stack as wide as you can while still being
able to fully thread on the arbor nut.)
2. Adjust your dado set’s cutting height to 1/2".
Do
NOT use the predrilled holes in the
Small Miter Gauge Fence (1) to attach it to your miter
gauge. These holes are for connecting the Large Sacrificial
Miter Gauge Fence (2).
> Always turn off your saw after every cut and allow
the blades to stop spinning before pulling the miter
gauge and jig back to the starting point.
> If the table saw’s arbor nut cannot be fully threaded
onto the arbor, the blades could come loose, causing
serious injury and/or property damage.
THESE WARNINGS PERTAIN
TO ALL REMAINING STEPS:
> To avoid serious injury, keep
hands and fingers away from
spinning blade.
3. Set your miter gauge in the slot on your table saw making
sure it is set 90° to blade. Position the Small Miter Gauge
Fence (1) so that it is roughly centered on the miter gauge.
Securely attach the Small Miter Gauge Fence to your miter
gauge with screws (not included) according to your miter
gauge manufacture instructions..

Two T-bolts and knobs MUST be used and
securely tightened when attaching the Small Miter Gauge
Fence (1) to the Large Sacrificial Miter Gauge Fence (2).
4. Attach the Large Sacrificial Miter Gauge Fence (2) to
the Small Miter Gauge Fence (1) with the two 1

" Long
5/16"-18 T-bolts (5) and two 5/16"-18 Easy-to-Grip Knobs (6).
Both Knobs need to be accessible and engaged with both
Fences; depending on your application, both can be installed
in the right set of mounting holes
(Fig. 2) or one on the left
and one on the right
(Fig. 3). The Large Sacrificial Miter
Gauge Fence can be adjusted by loosening the Knobs,
sliding the Fence and tightening the Knobs again to
lock it in position.
5. Measure in from the outside end of the Large Sacrificial
Miter Gauge Fence (2) and make marks at 3" and 4".
These marks locate the notch you will cut to accommodate
the Adjustable Keys of the Key Assembly (3).
