Security distances.
Furniture, objects and the rest of flammable or fragile things must be,
at least, at a distance of 1000 mm away from any part of the fireplace .
2.4. Type of combustion.
This fireplace is designed for intermittent use with the door closed;
The door should only be opened to load fuel.
2.5. Authorised fuel by the manufacturer.
The fireplace should not be use as incinerator, and
only approved fuels as described by manufacturer. Only logs of natural wood are
recommended, humidity within 12 and 20 % . It is highly recommended the use of at least 2
year-old logs. Their maximum length might not be longer than 350 mm. The use of other types
of fuel is forbidden, as well as any liquid (used to light barbecue fires).
2.6.
Loading and reload fuel
. It must take into account the maximum authorized load of fuel,
ensuring that when the recharge it does not exceed 175 mm in height, taking care not to exceed
either in quantity or size to the data specified above (see table of technical data).
To make the procedure ignition follow these steps: placing the burden on the central area of the
database from home, open the register primary and secondary maximum and then fire pledge
(USE ONLY FOR THE ELEMENTS TO). Once this fire ignition control its intensity through the
records to get the desired combustion (2.2.). When the fuel load has been reduced should
return to recharge taking into account the specified data above.

2.7. Mechanism blockage.
It is obligatory to verify all mechanisms, especially those that could
block after a long period of inactivity: handle of opening door, mechanism air slide, connector of
evacuation of smoke and so on operate correctly. It is also necessary to ensure the exterior air
inlet cannot be blocked.
2.8. Cleaning and maintenance.
2.8.1. Glass cleaning.
To clean the glass let the fire burn out completely, taking care that the
cleaning product does not touch the metallic parts of the door or the rope seal, due to the
aggressiveness of these products it can initiate a process of corrosion of the chimney.
2.8.2.
Ash pan cleaning.
Before removing the ash pan, it is advisable to let the fire burnt out
completely, taking care that
the ashes do not contain hot embers;
in any case deposit them
in a metallic bucket.
2.8.3.
Interior cleaning of the chimney and flue.
Attention should be given to cleaning the
chimney and flue ways. The frequency of cleaning will depend upon the level of use, quality of
the fuel etc. It is necessary to clean the chimney flue minimum of once per season. It is
obligatory that a Professional regularly checks these elements.
2.8.4.
Painting.
The anticaloric painting that covers the interior and exterior of the chimney,
designed for temperatures of up to 600 ºC. Previously it has been in drying oven, by the process
of polymerization. The paint will cure during the first few times you use the chimney during
which you may notice a typical smell. After a few uses this smell will disappear leaving only the
pleasant smell of burning wood. It is possible that in some parts of the interior of the chimney,
after a time of use, may loose the painted finish, due to corrosive liquids, poor fuel quality or the
use of unauthorised fuel type, etc.. In this case it will be necessary to repaint all the damages
areas.
2.9.
In case of fire
No flammable element must be placed the nearest at 1000 mm away from
any part of the fireplace. Special prevention must be taken when children or elderly around. In
case of a fire, move away all people around, the air sliders must be fully closed and the Fire
Bridge must be called.
2.10.
Operation in adverses weather.
It is possible that under certain weather conditions the
fireplace doesn’t work properly: smoke mislead or not enough intake. When observing these
phenomena, it is highly recommended to close all air registers and extinguish the fire.
2.11.
Modification of the appliance.
Any modification must be authorized by means of writing
on behalf of Manufacturas Rocal SA. It is also compulsory to use the spare pieces
recommended by Manufactuas Rocal SA.
