4.4.6 Replacement of guide pins (option)
If there are a lot of wear on the guide pins, they should be replaced.

1 Dismount guide pins

Use a sliding hammer with an
M4-tap.
2 Mount new guide pins Apply Loctite 638 on the guide
pins and in the guide pin holes.
Press the new guide pins into
the tool changer. Use a sliding
hammer with an M4-tap.
4.5 Complete service of tool changer
We recommend a complete service on tool changers to be carried out every 5 years. This will
ensure proper function and increase the lifespan of the tool changer considerably. We further
recommend that the maintenance shall be carried out by qualified RSP personnel. Please
contact us for a quotation.
The 5 year tool changer service at Robot System Products includes inspection and cleaning of
the full unit, replacement of all wear parts including sealings and signal pins.
