Note: All motors in "Power down mode" are deactivated and switching on the lamp from the control panel is
blocked.
11. RDM
This fixture supports an RDM operation. The RDM (Remote Device Management) is a bi-directional communica -
tions protocol for use in DMX5 control systems, it is the new open standard for DMX512 device configuration
and status monitoring.
The RDM protocol allows data packets to be inserted into a DMX5 data stream without adversely affecting
existing non-RDM equipment. By using a special „Start Code,“ and by complying with the timing specifications
for DMX5, the RDM protocol allows a console or dedicated RDM controller to send commands to and receive
messages from specific moving lights.
The ROBE DreamBox with an additional ROBE RDM-network software provides the RDM functionality. The
DreamBox supports RDM - new control protocol featuring AutoPatch and Fixture Status Monitoring.
