3.6.5 Mapping
The WiNG-MGR allows you to upload a map of your facility and populate it with sensor data.
This provides a real-time view of the facility, including the physical location and status of
mapped sensors, and a visual indication of any active alarms.
Through the mapping process, the WiNG-MGR creates an overlay for an uploaded map
image. You can draw a map image yourself or RLE can create maps from sketches or
mechanical drawings you provide. Once uploaded and populated, the map is accessible
through the Map link on the left side of the WiNG-MGR web interface.

Option Description
Mapped Points
Table
This table shows all the sensors currently included on the map.
•
Sensor: The name of the sensor is a link that takes you directly
to that individual sensor’s page data and configuration page
within the web interface.
•
X-Pos and Y-Pos: Use these fields to fine tune the location of
the sensor on the map. X-Pos adjusts the point horizontally; Y-
Pos adjusts the point vertically.
•
X-Size and Y-Size: Use these fields to adjust the size of the box
used to represent the sensors. X-Size adjusts the height; Y-
Size adjusts the width.
•
Font-size: Adjust the size of the font that displays the sensor’s
data reading.
•
Edit Graphically: Click the icon to adjust the sensor’s location
directly on the map.This is the easiest way to edit the map.
•
Remove: Click the “x” to remove the sensor from the map.
