OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Read and obey these instructions to prevent   

personal injury.
• DO NOT operate leveler with anyone standing on, 

or in front of lip.

• DO NOT stand on moving leveler. 

• DO NOT operate leveler until truck/trailer is parked

against the dock bumpers and the truck/ trailer 
has been secured.

• NEVER attempt to lift the lip or hold the lip out by 

hand. Serious personal injury could occur.

• NEVER attempt to open dock door with leveler. 

Serious personal injury could occur.

• NEVER enter a truck/trailer until its brakes are set, 

air has been dumped from the air ride suspension 
(if applicable), and you have visually inspected 
truck/trailer to ensure truck/trailer is securely held 
in place by a vehicle restraint or wheel chocks per 
OSHA regulations.

• ALWAYS store the leveler platform so that it is 

supported by the lip supports and that it is level 
with the surrounding dock floor.

• NEVER release the vehicle restraint or remove the 

wheel chocks until loading/unloading is finished 
and the truck driver has been given permission to 
drive away from the dock.

NORMAL OPERATION WITHOUT
AUTOMATIC RETURN TO DOCK (ARTD)

1.  Push and hold RAISE button until leveler is fully

raised and lip is fully extended. See Figures 20 
and 21.

2.

When lip is fully extended, release RAISE button.
The leveler will automatically lower down onto the
truck/trailer bed. See Figure 22. 

3.  When the truck/trailer pulls out, the leveler will move

to its lowest position and the lip will drop to the
pendant position.

4.  To store leveler, push and hold the RAISE button

until leveler is about 6” above dock and lip is fully
pendant, then release button. Leveler will lower
down to dock level with lip resting in the lip supports.

NORMAL OPERATION WITH OPTIONAL
AUTOMATIC RETURN TO DOCK (ARTD)

1.  Push and hold RAISE button until leveler is fully

raised and lip is fully extended. See Figures 20 
and 21.

•  If any load is on the leveler platform, DO

NOT operate.

•  When the load/unload operation is 

complete, it is suggested to return the 
lever to the stored position.
