5-3. How to start the detector head

5-3. How to start the detector head
Before supplying power to the detector head, check that the preparation for start-up is completed.
Open the electric circuit lid.*
Turn ON the power switch.*
Close the electric circuit lid.*
Supply power to the detector head.
After the detector head completes the start-up, it enters the detection mode swiftly.
* Only GD-D58·AC has a power switch. Since GD-D58·DC does not have any power switch, there is no
need to open or close the electric circuit lid.
NOTE

head and alarm deactivation)
Power on -> Initial clear (approximately 25 seconds) -> Detection mode
The gas detection is not yet started just after the detector head is started up. Turn ON the power
switch of the indicator/alarm unit according to "5-4. How to detect."

CAUTION
Do not turn off the detector head during the initial clear. The detector head is reading the
internal memory during the initial clear.
If the detector head is installed newly or the new sensor is replaced, the sensor must be
warmed up for a specified period which is determined depending on the type of the sensor after
the detector head is started.
After the warm-up is completed, perform a gas calibration.
