5.7 Typical Problems and Remedies

Problem Probable

cause

Remedy

Water leakage occurs.

There is foreign dust on the
surface of the seal, or
the water seal unit has
reached the end of its useful
life.

Replace the water seal unit.

The connector connection is
not properly made.

Check for the proper connector
connection or the retaining screws
whether properly tightened.

There is an alarm issued for
the target driver.

Solve the cause of the alarm, then turn
the power OFF on the operation panel
and turn it ON again.

The target does not rotate.

There is water in the
connector (e.g., the cooling
water in a hose might have
entered during target
replacement).

Immediately turn OFF the X-ray
generator power, disconnect the
connector, and thoroughly dry the
inside of the connector.

Abnormal noise is
generated.
Vibration is increasing.

The bearings are faulty.

Replace the bearings.
