5.5 Example of a Maintenance Record
To prevent accidents and assure smooth servicing in the event of an accident, you should record the
contents of servicing and repairing tasks performed.
A typical maintenance record example is presented below (the hour meter indicates a reading on
the hour meter of the X-ray generator):

5.6 Other Precautions
(1) Store the Rotor Target in a place where there is neither high temperature nor high humidity to
prevent it from deteriorating.
(2) In replacement of a target, use care so that water drops remaining within the cooling water hoses
do not come into contact with the target surface or the inside of the body of the Rotor Target.
(3) It is recommended that the environmental conditions of the room be properly maintained so as to
avoid moisture condensation during equipment use. Using the Rotor Target in an unfavorable
environment (e.g., high temperature or humidity) may influence the parts in it and deteriorate the
performance it can really provide.
(4) When removing the body of the Rotor Target from the equipment (i.e., to change the target
material), be sure to turn OFF the X-ray generator power, wait for at least 30 minutes after it
stops to emit exhaust and until the TMP revolutions fully drop to a reasonable speed.
(5) For use of any solvent to wipe clean the Rotor Target, exercise utmost care to provide adequate
ventilation and keep fire away at the work site.
