Removing Misfed Paper

When Paper Jams inside the Fusing Unit

If the

Alert

indicator lights up, paper may be misfed:

A paper misfeed occurs during paper feeding. Open the front cover to remove
the misfed paper.

CAUTION:

Important

❒

Since the surrounding temperature is high around the guide, check for
jammed paper when it gets a little cooler.

Pull Front Cover Open Lever, and then open the front cover with both
hands carefully.

•

The inside of this printer becomes very hot. Do not touch the parts labelled
“

” (indicating a hot surface).

•

The fusing section of this machine might be very hot. Caution should be tak-
en when removing misfed paper.
