Placing Originals
This section describes the types of originals you use set and how to place them.
About Originals
Recommended size of originals
Scanner glass:
no wider than 216 mm (8.5 inches)
no longer than 297 mm (11.7 inches)
Unscannable image area
Even if you correctly place originals,margins of a few millimeters on all four sides of the original
may not be scanned.

Placing Originals on the Scanner Glass
1. Raise the scanner cover.
2. Place the original face down on the scanner glass.
The original should be aligned to the rear left corner.
3. Lower the scanner cover.
