1. Transfer and Separation
A transfer bias of +3.2 kV is applied to the transfer roller [A] from the high
voltage supply [B]. This charge is applied through the torsion spring [C] and
the conductive supporter [D].
The positively biased transfer roller pulls negatively charged toner onto the
paper.
The ground plate [E] and curvature of the drum both help the paper to drop
away from the drum.
