Shooting Movies

AVI format movies can be recorded with

sound by pressing the

(Movie) button

during shooting photos.

The camera will set focus and exposure and

1280] selected for [Movie Size], use a Speed

Class 6 memory card.

• While shooting movies, operation sounds or operating noises of the camera

may be recorded.

• Movies may be up to 4 GB in size. The maximum length is 12 minutes for movies

recorded at a [Movie Size] of [

1280] and 29 minutes for movies recorded

at [

640]. The maximum total length of all movie files that can be stored

depends on the capacity of the memory card (

P.151).

• Depending on the type of memory card used, shooting may end before the

maximum length of movie recording time is reached.

• When shooting a fast-moving subject, the subject may be distorted in the

recorded image.

• Flickering may be recorded as horizontal bands when shooting under

fluorescent lights. Set [Reduce Fluorescent Flicker] (

P.84) in the movie

menu.
