Troubleshooting
WARNING!
To reduce the risk of electrical shock or injury from moving parts,
unplug the vacuum before servicing or cleaning the vacuum.

with Wet Hands.
PROBLEM CHECK POINT POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Vacuum won’t
turn on.
Power Cord Plug unit in firmly.
House Fuse or Breaker
Check house fuse or breaker. Replace fuse/reset
breaker.
Vacuum Bag or Hose Replace bag or remove obstacle.
Thermal Motor
Protection Reset Button
Press reset button.
Needs Service Take to an Authorized Vacuum Retailer.
Vacuum won’t
pick up or low
suction.
Carpet Button
Press “Carpet” button on – it will illuminate when
it’s on.
Vacuum Bag Replace full bag.
Filter Replace clogged filter.
Hose Remove obstacle.
Brushes Replace brush strips (R25P & R25D models).
Belt Take to an Authorized Vacuum Retailer.
