Water Flow Troubleshooting

Use the proxy sensor or draw off water
to initiate a call for heating.
Is the circulator operating?

Clear the blockage or restriction in the
water system
– flexible hoses
(including kinks), circulator, heat
exchanger and tank fittings.
In poor water quality areas, descaling
may be required.
There is a blockage or restriction in
the water system.

Circulator operation can be
determined by feeling the body
of the circulator for vibration.
Is 240 volts present at the
circulator plug?

Is the circulator plug firmly and
correctly connected to the
controller?
Is the circulator motor winding
resistance correct?

Check the circulator impeller for
restriction or seizure.
Replace the circulator.

Connect the fan wiring or plug firmly

Ensure that the plug pins are clean
and making firm electrical contact. If
the pins are OK, replace the controller.

Reinstall the check valve so the water

Replace the circulator.

flow is directed towards the heat
exchanger.

Bleed the air out of the water system

at the storage tank.
