15. Charging 12V System with a seperate charger
15.1. Charging with C-Tek 0.8 SX RGNT 12V Charger
The motorcycle is equipped with a separate 12V system. Its located under the saddle and it is the box
where you present the key to start the motorcycle. When the bike is not in use the 12V battery naturally
drains a small amount of power. If using the C-Tek 12V charger this is avoided.
NOTE! When using the standard charger It automatically recharges the 12V battery.
When driving the motorcycle the 12V battery automatically recharges.
1. Start by charging the motorcycle to 100% by using the standard provided charger. The motorcycle
is fully charged when the display shows 100% and the light indicator on the charger turns from the
red “charging” to green “charging complete / not charging”. Now remove standard charger.
2. Connect the C-Tek 0.8 SX RGNT 12V charger to the same charge outlet on the bike used for the
standard charger.
3. The C-tek charger takes 5-10s to analyze the condition of the 12V battery before starting to
charge. The light indicators show you how charged the 12V battery is by turning 1-5 green light.
4. The charger has a 6 step charging program. When the charger shows 5 green light indicators the
12V battery is fully charged.
(The last step nr 5 is a long time maintenance step. We recommend having the C-Tek charger connected all the time when not
driving or charging the motorcycle with the standard charger. Especially if not using the motorcycle daily.)
5. Now you can store the motorcycle for 30days without any further action. Repeat procedure steps
1-5 every 30 days
NOTE! The C-Tek 0.8 RGNT 12V charger is not included with the motorcycle.
Its an additional accessory that you can buy from RGNT. The charger is specially designed to be used
for the RGNT motorcycle. You can not buy this directly from the store.
