8.4.6 Encoder
Menu
Using the
▲▼
buttons, this menu is used to select the required MPEG encoder operating
parameters. These are held in 16 PSET factory memories (0 – 15), plus the USER PSET
mentioned in paragraph 8.4.5. The display will also indicate the modulation mode (QPSK,
16QAM, 64QAM)
8.4.7 ASI/MPEG
The RMT-II Dual Band operating mode may be selected for either ASI input or video / audio
input using the internal MPEG encoder.
After the mode is switched to ASI, the control menu converts to that shown in 8.6
8.4.8 Presets
Note: The function Preset should be distinguished from the function PSET mentioned in 8.4.5
and 8.4.6
The function Preset allows the complete configuration of the transmitter to be stored and
loaded; this includes channel frequency, definition, video and audio inputs etc. A total of 4
Presets may be accessed, additionally a Default factory setting is provided.
8.4.9 Output
power
The output power of the transmitter may be set 0 to -12dB below the nominal maximum
output power. Separate presets are provided for 2 and 7GHz bands. A calibrated dB offset is
provided plus a bar graph display. The bar graph is replicated in the top level summary
screen, see 8.3.2
8.5 Engineering Menu – MPEG2 mode
The engineering menu is entered by pressing the ‘C’ and ‘E’ buttons simultaneously for 2 to
10 seconds, and then pressing the ‘E’ button.
8.5.1 Control
Mode
The RMT-II Dual Band has 3 possible control modes
•
Switches - selection of channel frequency and PA On/Off is selected from the push
button menu or via the two front-panel rocker switches
•
Keypad - Control is via the 6 push buttons in conjunction with the menu tree
•
Remote - Control is via RS232 / RS485 remote control
