SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
Warning: Risk of explosive gas!
Working in the vicinity of a lead-acid battery can
be dangerous. Batteries release explosive gases
during normal operation, charging and while
jumpstarting a battery. Before using the unit read
and follow the instructions carefully.
Also pay close attention to the cautionary
statements on the vehicle’s battery and any
other equipment you may be using.
Caution:
JUMPSTART LEAD-ACID BATTERIES
ONLY. Do not use to jumpstart dry-cell batteries
that are commonly used with home appliances.
These batteries may burst and cause injury and
or property damage.
Do not smoke, use matches, use a cigarette
lighter, or allow a spark or flame near the battery.
Do not allow metal to come in contact with the
battery posts. It may spark or short-circuit the
battery and cause an explosion.
Remove rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches
when working with a leadacid battery.
Contains a sealed non-spillable lead acid battery
and must be disposed of properly.
Jump Starter batteries may leak or explode if not
handled correctly. Always observe the following
safety instructions.
Ensure that the product is switched off before
removing or fitting batteries.
Do not attempt to fit the battery the wrong way
round.
Do not short out, or attempt to dismantle the
battery.
Do not allow the metal contacts of the booster
cables to touch as this will cause a short circuit
damaging the product.
Do not wear loose jewellery or clothing while
using this product
Do not store or transport the product with loose
metal objects such drill and driver bits.
Store the product in a cool place when not in
use.
Do not use the booster as a replacement for a
vehicles battery
Do not expose the product to flames or
excessive heat.
Do not immerse in or expose the product to
water.
Do not reach over moving parts.
Do not dispose of the battery by incineration or
in the domestic waste system. Take the battery
to an approved recycling or disposal facility.
Wear approved eye protection when handling
lead acid batteries.
Avoid contact with battery acid, if splashed wash
the affected area with clean water continue
washing area until medical assistance arrives (if
required).
Use product in a well-ventilated area well away
from combustible materials or liquids.
Maintain product with care, inspect cables
periodically and have them replaced by an
authorised service centre if damaged.
