6. PREPARATIONS BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
• Unpack the appliance carefully and remove all
protective packaging and wrapping. Make sure
no packaging debris remains on the appliance.
• Check delivery contents for any missing parts (a
fork and a drip tray) and any possible transport
damage. In the event of damage in transit or mis-
sing parts, DO NOT use the appliance and contact
your supplier immediately.
• Place the appliance on a horizontal, stable and
heat resistant surface. Leave at least 20 cm of
space around and above the appliance.
• Let the appliance heat up for few minutes at the
highest temperature setting (--> Operation) to
remove all residues from the manufacturing pro-
cess. It may also emit some odour for the first
few cycles. This is normal and does not lead to
defect or hazard.
• Let the appliance cool down completely before
cleaning to use it again.
7. OPERATION
• Clean the baking plate by a moist cloth before
first time of using.
• Connect the power plug with a suitable electrical
outlet.
• Switch ON the appliance by turning the Tempe-
rature control knob in a clockwise direction to
select the required baking temperature.
• When the baking plate is heating up, the Orange
heating indicator is light up.
• Wait 5 to 10 minutes for preheating. Once the set
temperature is reached, the Orange heating indi-
cator will go off automatically.
• Now it is ready for baking. Lightly coat the lower
baking plate with butter, margarine or suitable
baking oil. Then, spread the waffle dough evenly
on the lower baking plates. Do not pour too much
tough.
• Close the lid by using the handle.
• Orange heating indicator lights up again for hea-
ting up. After about 2 ~ 4 minutes (time depends
on dough moisture, content, etc) Orange hea-
ting indicator will go off again. The waffle is now
ready.
• Remove the waffles using a waffle fork (supplied).
Never use abrasive utensils. This may damage
the non-stick coating of the baking plates. Ne-
ver use bare hands to touch the food. Danger of
burns!
Note: When you pour the batter onto the hot ba-
king plate, you might hear some slight cracking
noise caused by difference in temperature. This
is normal.
• Close the appliance if more waffles are to be ba-
ked, in order to maintain the temperature.
• After use: set the Temperature control knob to
zero degree in upwards position until the Orange
heating indicator goes out.
Attention! Disconnect the power plug from the
electrical outlet and let it cool completely before
cleaning and storing.
Note: Due to the manufacturing residues, the ap-
pliance may emit slight odor in the first few cycles.
This is normal and does not indicate any defect or
hazard. Make sure the appliance is well ventilated
during operation.
8. RESET THE HI-LIMITER (THERMAL CUT-OUT)
Please note that a RESET button located at the bot-
tom of the appliance.
• Unplug the appliance electrical power outlet.
• Allow the appliance to completely cool down.
• Press the RESET button of the Hi-limiter (ther-
mal cut-out). You should hear a click sound.
• Plug into the socket and you can use it again.
