Installation
In order to prevent product damage or personal injuries, two persons must
assemble the product.
Screw all connections as tight as possible in order to prevent them from
becoming loose during future use. If they still get loose, retighten them.
a) Product assembly
• Select a suitable and flat installation surface.
• Remove all provided components from the packaging and carefully display them on
the installation surface.
• First connect the upper ends of the pipes with the corresponding openings on the
bottom of the lampshade and secure the connections using the threaded screws.
To do so, use the Allen wrench provided (fig. 2).
• Screw the lower standpipes onto the center part (fig. 3).
• Remove the washer and nut from the thread of the standpipe without power cable
and then put them aside.
• Guide both standpipes through the holes of the stand. If the intermediate elements
are slightly displaced and the holes not fully aligned, align them accordingly. When
doing so, pull the protruding cable from the bottom of the stand (fig. 4).
• First screw down the cable-guiding pipe from below. The proper washer and nut
are already attached to the cable. To do so, use the wrench provided (fig. 4).
• Use the previously removed washer and nut to attach the other standpipe to the
stand. Make sure to apply the washer with the same side as for the other standpipe.
To do so, you can also use the provided wrench (fig. 4).
• Place the lampshade on the uplighter and screw it onto the inner surface using the
three fastening clips and screws provided. To do so, use the screwdriver provided
(fig. 5 and 6).
• Screw the adjustment lever of the reading light onto the bottom of the reading light
(fig. 7).
b) Connecting the power adapter
• Connect the cable to the power adapter.
• Connect the power adapter to a common household wall socket.
Start up
The center part features two rotary controls (upper control: uplighter / lower control:
reading light). Both lights are dimmable.
In order to adjust the reading light, hold it by the adjustment lever and move it till the
desired position is reached.
Maintenance and cleaning
• If prolonged use of the product causes the screw connections to become loose,
retighten them.
• There are no user-serviceable parts inside the products. Never open the product.
• Have repairs done by experts or authorized workshops only.
• Let the product cool down sufficiently before cleaning.
• Clean the housing with a slightly damp, soft and clean cloth.
• Do not apply too much pressure to the housing to prevent scratching.
• Under no circumstances use aggressive cleanings agents, cleaning alcohol or other
chemical solutions since these can penetrate the housing or impair functionality.
