f) Bluetooth
®
Operation
To permit best phone reception and keep electromagnetic irradiation in the vehicle as low as possible,
always use an outside aerial in mobile phone operation.
In Bluetooth
®
operation, the car radio can be used as hands-free system for mobile phones and/or as
playback device for Bluetooth
®
A2DP audio streaming. Before transmission between your mobile phone
or Bluetooth
®
device and the car radio is possible, however, both devices must be coupled. This process
is called "pairing".
Pairing
•
Switch on the car radio.
•
Switch your mobile phone on and activate the Bluetooth
®
mode here (see instructions of the mobile phone for this).
•
Activate the scan for other Bluetooth
®
devices in the reception area at your mobile phone.
•
When the car radio was found, your Bluetooth
®
device shows the Bluetooth
®
name of the car radio (BT Car Stereo).
•
Connect your mobile phone to the car radio.
•
Enter the password 0000 if necessary to couple the two devices.
•
After successful pairing, the display indicates the Bluetooth
®
symbol permanently.
•
If pairing was not successful, try repeating the process. The car radio may have to be deleted in your mobile phone
first (see mobile phone instructions).
Only one Bluetooth
®
device at a time can be coupled with the car radio. If there is an active Bluetooth
®
connection already, this connections must be interrupted first. This is done via the menu of your mobile
phone.
If the car radio or mobile phone with which there is an active connection is switched off or removed from
the range, the connection is interrupted. The Bluetooth
®
symbol in the display (4) flashes. When switching
on again or when the mobile phone returns into the car radio range again, the connection is automatically
re-established. The display (4) now shows the Bluetooth
®
symbol permanently again.
To permit this automatic establishment of connection, this function may have to be activated at the mobile
phone (read about this in your mobile phone's instructions).
Accepting/rejecting an incoming phone call
•
For an inbound phone call, the display (4) shows CALL IN and the number of the caller.
If the caller suppresses his caller ID or the mobile phone network does not support this feature, the caller
ID cannot be displayed.
•
Press the button MOD/TA/ (3) to accept an incoming phone call.
•
Press the button F/PS/ (2) to reject an incoming phone call.
You can change the talking volume with the dial (9) during a phone call.
